Abhishek clinches the Championship.
The event was organized by Chess Quest Academy jointly with Pune.District.Chess.Association. The venue for the tournament was PVG’s Institute of Management. There were total 66 participants of which 28 were international rated players. The tournament saw a close finish among Abhishek Kelkar, Aniruddha Deshpande, Pushkaraj Bedekar. But it was Abhishek Kelkar who edged out the other two on the tie break system, to clinch the championship. Nikhil Dixit and Kaushik Bhave also performed well to finish 4th and 5th respectively.The chess tournament served the purpose of promoting chess, by Chess Quest Academy in Pune.
