The event was organized by Chess Quest Academy jointly with Pune District Chess Association. There were total 52 participants out of which 24 were International Rated chess players. Nikhil Dixit was the star of the day as he performed exceedingly well to remain unbeaten and win the championship with 6.5points/7rounds. Aniruddha Deshpande finished 2nd while Pushkaraj Bedekar and Kapil Lohana finshed 3rd and 4th respectively. Abhishek Kelkar finished 5th.The chess tournament served the purpose of promoting chess, by Chess Quest Academy in Pune.
