The chess event was organized by Chess Quest Academy jointly with Pune District Chess Association. There were total 43 participants out of which 28 were International Rated chess players. Chinamy Kulkarni won the second consecutive Sunday Rapid Chess Championship by scoring 7points/7rounds. Siddhant Gaikwad also had a very successful run in the tournament, losing only to Chinmay. Kapil Lohana and Nikhil Dixit scored 5.5points/7rounds to finish 3nd and 4th respectively. .
